Weddings at Elks Tower Event Center
How many event spaces do you have?
The Elks Tower is home to two beautiful and unique event spaces, the Ballroom and the Penthouse. The largest of our venues is The Elks Ballroom. This space was built to reflect the Italian Renaissance style and was renovated back to its original beauty in 2006. It acts as an elegant backdrop for meetings, birthday parties, weddings, and more! The Penthouse is ideal for smaller events and is bound to have all of the charm and features you are looking for. From breathtaking views, to a pool table, we’ve got you covered.
How big are your event spaces?
The Ballroom is 4,760 square feet and can hold up to 350 guests for a seated event and 465 guests for a cocktail style event. The Penthouse is split between two levels, the 13th floor and the 14th floor. The space can hold up to 50 people for a seated event on the 14th floor and up to 70 guests for a cocktail style event.

We offer a variety of packages in order to best suit your unique needs and preferences. Please contact our event manager for pricing information and availability.
Can we bring in our own caterer?
The Elks Tower Ballroom is proud to offer multiple options when it comes to your food services. Our in-house caterer, Chanton Enterprises, offers an extensive list of sample menus for you to choose from. If you prefer a more unique menu, we can work with you to create a one-of-a-kind menu that is customized to your specific preferences and budget. Unlike most venues, we also offer you the flexibility of bringing in your own caterer. All we need from you is a copy of the caterer’s insurance, and a $300 prep room fee. Please keep in mind that no cooking may be done on-site.
Chanton Enterprises is the exclusive food and beverage provider for The Penthouse. We will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind food and beverage menu that is customized to your preferences and budget. Our servers and bartenders are familiar with the space and are ready to provide you and your guests with delicious food and drink. Please ask our event manager for information on how to receive a custom quote for catering services.
You may bring in your own dessert to both spaces.
Can we bring in our own cake or dessert?
Yes, you may bring in your own dessert to the Ballroom and Penthouse. There is no fee for dessert bars, but you will need to bring in the platters and serving utensils. We will cut your cake for you for a cake cutting fee of $1.50 per slice.
Can we bring in our own alcohol/beverages?
All beverages (this includes soda, juice, beer, cocktails, etc.) in both spaces must be provided by Chanton Enterprises with an exception of wine. You may bring in wine at a corkage fee of $15 per bottle. Chanton Enterprises will serve it. Outside caterers in the Ballroom will be responsible for refilling waters at the table.
What audio/visual equipment is included in the space?
The ballroom does not have any built in speakers or screens. All audio/visual equipment must be brought in. We can arrange for the rental of any AV equipment you may need. Please contact our event manager for price quotes.
What limitations do you have on decor?
All decorations must be approved in writing by Chanton Enterprises LLC prior to the event and must be UL approved (flame retardant). Some decorations may require Fire Marshal approval. The use of nails, tacks, tape, staples, pins, etc, is not permitted at ANY TIME. Only gaffer’s tape may be used on the floor. Decorations, and/or any type of wire or cord may not be hung, tied, or draped on any light fixture inside or outside the facility. No open flames are permitted at any time unless specifically approved in writing by Chanton Enterprises LLC. All candles must be enclosed in a glass, or non-flammable holder, and the tip of the flame must be at least one inch below the rim of the holder. Rice, birdseed, hay bales, sand, confetti, glitter, fog machines, and fireworks (including sparklers) are NOT permitted inside or outside The Elks Tower premises.
How long do we have the space for?
When you reserve the Ballroom you will have access to the space as early as 9:00am on your event date and as late as 1:00am that night. You will just need to prearrange a time to pick up the keys from our event manager.
When you reserve the Penthouse you will have access to the space 1 hour before the event and 1 hour after the event ends.
What clean up do we need to do?
Chanton Enterprises will set up, break down, and clean up any equipment that is provided by us. You are responsible for the set up, breakdown, and cleanup of any items you or your vendors bring in. Outside caterers will be responsible for taking out all garbage.
Do we have to use your security guards?
Yes. At least one security guard is required for your event in order to make sure no unwanted guests crash the party, and make sure all guests are safe. All security guards are to be provided by Chanton Enterprises. Additional security guards may be required based on the guest count and type of event. Security guards are scheduled a half hour before your event begins and one hour after your event ends, or after the last person leaves, whichever is later.
Are the spaces accessible to people with disabilities?
The Ballroom is located on the second floor of the Elks Tower. The second floor is accessible from the main lobby via elevator. There are a few short steps with hand rails to get down onto the main Ballroom floor. Guests with wheelchairs may access the main floor of the Ballroom by using the handicap lift as requested. Only representatives of Chanton Enterprises are permitted to operate the lift. The two mezzanines (balconies) are only accessible by stairs.
The Penthouse is located on the 13th and 14th floors of the Elks Tower. The 13th floor is accessible via elevator from the main lobby. However, There is no elevator to the 14th floor, which is where the bar, and the main events typically take place. Guests must walk up a steep staircase in order to access the 14th floor. Although the space is in the process of becoming ADA compliant, it is not currently recommended for guests who have difficulty walking up stairs.
What do we need to do in order to reserve our date?
In order to confirm your reservation and ensure that the space, staffing, and equipment is reserved for you, for your day, you must provide a deposit ($1,000 for the Ballroom, $500 for the Penthouse), signed and initialed terms and conditions, and your signed contract. The space cannot be held for you until we have received all of these items.
Do we need event insurance?
Yes, in order to host an event with us, you will need to provide a certificate of liability insurance to cover the day of your event, including the day before and the day after (72 hours) in the amount of $1,000,000 to Chanton Enterprises LLC no later than 7 calendar days prior to your event. The certificate shall: (1) name Utah Partners, LLC; Chanton Enterprises LLC, as “insured’s;” (2) shall name Utah Partners, LLC and Chanton Enterprises LLC, including their owners, agents, architects, members, managers, lenders, and building manager as “additional insured’s;” and, (3) include a “waiver of subrogation.” Please be sure that all entities are listed or you will be asked to redo the insurance paperwork. If an insurance certificate is not provided prior to your event, you and your vendors will not be allowed on property. Some property and auto insurance providers will add this onto your existing service. If yours doesn’t, there are a number of websites that provide event insurance, like wedsafe.com.
